Welfare Leader

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Welfare Leader. As a Welfare Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and happiness of our students, creating a supportive environment that enhances their overall experience at our school.


This role is subject to seasonal and/or flexible employment, primarily during schools holidays and depends on student's availability. Residential and non-residential opportunities are available during peak periods.

Responsibilities

  • Student Support
    :Provide ongoing support and guidance to language students, addressing their individual needs and concerns.
    Serve as a point of contact for students facing personal or academic challenges, offering assistance and resources.
  • Orientation Programs:
    Develop and implement orientation programs to help new students acclimate to the language school environment.
    Introduce students to school policies, facilities, and available support services.
  • Community Building:
    Facilitate activities and events that foster a sense of community among students.
    Collaborate with other staff members to create a welcoming and inclusive school culture.
  • Accommodation Support:
    Assist students with accommodation-related issues and liaise with housing providers when necessary.
    Ensure that students feel comfortable and secure in their living arrangements.
  • Emergency Response:
    Be a point of contact for students during emergencies or crises.
    Implement and communicate emergency procedures, providing support and reassurance.
    Conduct individual sessions for students dealing with personal or academic difficulties.
  • Student Feedback:
    Collect feedback from students to assess satisfaction with welfare services.
    Use feedback to make continuous improvements to the welfare program.

Must Have

  • Completed or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, and/or relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in student support services, preferably in an educational or language school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Empathetic and compassionate with the ability to handle sensitive situations.
  • Valid work permit for United Kingdom
  • Clear and valid Enhanced DBS
