Supervision Outside Class Times
Our caring team provides age-appropriate supervision at every stage of the day:
In Residence: Residential staff are on-site 24/7, carrying out nightly room checks and ensuring students are settled and safe.
Meals & Free Time: Staff are present to offer guidance, support, and a friendly face during social time.
Activities & Excursions: Activity Leaders and Group Leaders accompany students on every outing, ensuring excellent supervision ratios and full safety briefings before departure.
Journey from Accommodation to School
Experience
On-Site Accommodation: Students living on campus enjoy a short, fully supervised walk to lessons.
Off-Site Accommodation: For students staying with host families, staff accompany them for initial journeys until they are confident. Students aged 16–17 may travel independently with parental consent, though we encourage them to buddy up.
Extra Care for Our Youngest Learners (Ages 7–12)
Parents of younger learners can rest assured knowing their children are under our highest level of care:
Acting “In Place of a Parent” – our staff take on loco parentis responsibility, ensuring each child’s welfare at all times.
Increased Supervision – we maintain higher staff-to-student ratios and make sure children are always within sight of a responsible adult.
Bedtime Support – staff help younger students settle at night, creating a calm and comforting environment.

A Note for Parents of 16–17 Year Olds
Students aged 16–17 on adult courses enjoy greater independence appropriate for their age. While they’re not supervised at all times, our welfare staff check in daily, and there’s always 24-hour support available.
Parents will be asked to sign a consent form acknowledging these arrangements. We encourage these students to travel in pairs or groups whenever possible.
