Position
Overview The Business Development
Manager positions for Europe will drive the growth of CLAN Language
Schools across Europe, developing strategies, building
relationships, and generating new business opportunities. The role is remote
and open-ended (no termination date), designed for entrepreneurial
professionals motivated by results and flexibility.
Responsibilities
Identify, source, and secure new business opportunities with education agencies, partner institutions, and direct student recruitment channels.
Build and sustain long-term relationships within the education ecosystem—language agencies, educational consultants, corporate clients, schools, and universities.
Represent CLAN at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and agency visits to increase visibility, expand the client network, and close deals.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and surpass monthly and annual enrolment and revenue targets.
Provide market insight—including competitor analysis and customer trends—to inform strategy and product development.
Negotiate contracts and manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
Maintain accurate records of business activities, pipeline status, and contract negotiations using CRM or similar tools.
Collaborate and support cross-functionally with marketing, academic, and operations teams to ensure the student journey is seamless and client expectations are exceeded.
Provide flexible support to other departments when required, particularly during periods of high-demand or limited resources, including responsibilities outside your normal scope of work.
Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes affecting the industry in target markets.
Must Have
Minimum 2-3 years’ proven experience in business development or sales roles within English language training sector.
Strong understanding of the respective region’s cultural, business, and educational landscape.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills in regional languages and English.
Ability to work independently, remotely, and with minimal supervision; self-driven and highly organized.
Familiarity with remote work tools (CRM, video conference, document collaboration) and willingness to travel worldwide.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Right to work as an independent contractor in the country of residence.
High ethical standards, professionalism, and goal-oriented mindset.
